As a college student sometimes when we get busy we forgot to maintain our health. As we have our day-to-day challenges,from quizzes to projects, getting pressed by the time and being put under a lot of stress we often ignored our daily nutritional needs. We often getting sick or can't focus to our activities and it can decreased our performance.Here's some tips for you to maintain your health:
1. Eating the right food
Stay healthy doesn't always about getting exercised. Eating healthy food the with right nutrients for your daily needs. People's daily nutritional needs are differs from one to another. Learning how to cook and keep a variety of healthy snacks on hand might be helpful for college student. Choosing the right food and knows how to put together a meal is the right way to do. Eating raw veggies, fresh fruits, fish, chocolates will give you the energy you need to tackle those study sessions.
2. Schedule time to get a workout with friends
Getting enough exercise is vital for students to have a healthy body and sharp mind. Many students find it difficult to stick to an exercise routine, so it’s important to realize that exercise does not have to happen all at once. Walking or biking to class is a great way to keep in shape during the semester, morning/afternoon run to keep your stamina up, or do some sports with your friend at sport centre or other places to keep you fit and still have fun socializing.
3. Study breaks
Studying regularly has been shown to be much easier on the brain than cramming for tests. When students cram the night before an exam, it puts a huge amount of stress on the brain. Intense studying forces the brain to work much harder than it should, leaving lots of room for error – like completely forgetting the material during the exam.Trying to have a break from your study and get some fresh air.When longer study sessions are in order, frequent study breaks are key to maintaining good mental health. Get up, walk around the room, and stretch your arms, neck, and back. This will improve your blood flow and help you concentrate.
4. Get a good night's sleep
It may seem impossible or ridiculous to attempt trying to get at least seven hours of sleep, but it really can make a difference. Try getting work done earlier in the day, and then use the evening to relax and prepare you for a full night's rest. It’ll take a lot of effort to not join the obnoxious laughing coming from the halls in the middle of the night, but if you prioritize your sleep at least on the weekdays, you’ll wake up feeling more refreshed and ready to get more done during the day.
5. Relax College students are usually pretty stressed with classes and exams, but relaxing and having down-time is essential to staying healthy. Stress can cause numerous problems and getting too run-down can adversely affect your health. The easiest way to relax is to create a routine and give yourself regular breaks. Also, make sure you make time to hang out with friends and de-stress by reading a book, watching your favorite television show, picking up a hobby, going to some recreation place like a beach or waterfall.
6. Manage your schedule
While in college a student can easily become overwhelmed by a schedule that is busier than he or she is accustomed to. Trying to juggle one's studies and social life can quickly become overwhelming and may eventually threaten one's grades and educational goals. This is further exacerbated by other bad habits that consume one's time, such as procrastination, for example. Unfortunately, it isn't always easy to cut back on the number of activities that make up a student's schedule. To create a balance between study and social interaction, students must learn and implement valuable time management skills.
